What should I wear?

Good question!

Wearing the proper gear, will for the most part, keep you out of the majority of predicaments that we've seen some of our fellow riders get themselves into.

Everytime I ride I wear:
  • A top-of-the-line Helmet. I heard an ad a long time ago that said, "If you've got a $50 head, buy a $50 helmet. If you value your head, and your life, don't skimp on a good lid!". Make sure it a full-face helmet too.
  • Riding Suit. Wearing either a nylon/kevlar or leather riding suit will save you more than you can imagine. If you think that jeans and a thick jacket will help, think again. You might as well be wearing nothing unless you are wearing a riding suit that is designed to keep your skin off the pavement.
  • Gloves. Anyone who has ever badly cut a finger or hand knows how tough it can be to get along until it heals. Try getting through life after you've ground off a couple of fingers!
  • Boots. A sturdy pair of riding boots will save those tooties of yours. The boots and suit should have a good amount of overlap so that none of your delicate skin gets a chance to get aquainted with the pavement.

What should I wear?
